Georgie Winchester Bio
From Wonnarua Country, Maitland NSW, singer/songwriter Georgie Winchester performs an indie-rock flavoured live show juggling stomp box, harp, guitar and vocals drawing from influences such as Kim Churchill, Oasis & Madi Diaz. Georgie is a 2024 recipient of the Women In Music Mentorship program working with Al Parkinson/Aus Indi Records and attended the 2024 International Folk Alliance, Kansas City USA where she played 8 shows. In March, Georgie commenced a song-writing residency in the Newcastle Lighthouse, released a collaboration single with Joel Leggett and spent more time in the studio with Jack Nigro from Sonara Studios. New music is on the way after recording for a week in Ocean Shores studio with platinum-award winning producer & engineer Garrett Kato - March 14th is when the first track will be released. 2023 saw Georgie release her debut album and support the likes of Thelma Plum, Smith Street Band, Kim Churchill, The Rubens, Clare Bowditch, Steph Strings, Andy Golledge, Adam Newling & The Whitlams. Georgie is playing the 2024 Gumball Festival, Cornfest, Port Kembla Festival and the Rockhampton River Festival.
